Saturn's rings would barely reach your roof.

Saturn's rings stretch about 280,000 kilometres from edge to edge — nearly the distance from Earth to the Moon. Yet in many places, those rings are only around ten metres thick. Scale that down and you'd have something like a sheet of paper the size of a football pitch. The aspect ratio is genuinely absurd. And those rings aren't rock — they're almost entirely water ice, ranging from tiny grains to chunks the size of a house, all orbiting in an impossibly flat disc. They won't last forever, either. Scientists reckon the rings are relatively young on a cosmic timescale, and could be gone within tens of millions of years. Saturn isn't even unique in having rings — every giant planet in our solar system does. Saturn's are just overwhelmingly brighter than the rest.
